Wet Weather Reminder
Don’t forget to bring along your reusable grocery bags or totes to avoid the soggy demise of our paper bags if you’ll be hitting the elements on the way home. Even just getting to the car during this soggy season could be lethal for your produce — we want it to make it all the way home — not playing a game of 10 pin on the sidewalk!
Don’t waste those turnip greens. They make a delicious pesto, if you haven’t already tossed them into salad or roasted them with your turnips. This recipe from Fork in the Road is easily adaptable for your families needs.

I find it hard to get these turnips into a recipe as I often give them a quick wash and eat them as an apple. Some enjoy them raw with a sprinkle of sea salt.

Sourdough Stuffing Muffins with Apple and Fresh Herbs are the perfect way to use up those wrinkly apples, limp herbs and celery or that bread that needs to get used up. The muffin trays make perfect portion sizes and make it easy to freeze for later meals. This is a great way to use some extra veg.

This pear & leek soup, shared by It Doesn’t Taste like Chicken, is perfect for using old pears and scraggly leeks. it’s creamy without the vegan and can be made for the vegans in your life or with but and chicken stock. Whatever suits.
