This is a great event for kids and adults. And FREE of course! Tuesday April 1st our fellow Highlander Sid Sidhu will be setting up his high powered telescopes and helping us explore the stars! This time we will be meeting at the playing field at Twinflower park, right next to the West Fire Hall. Sid has spent decades promoting astronomy in Greater Victoria. He led the outreach program for the Victoria Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society and he used to give more than 70 presentations a year in schools and universities. He has an asteroid named after him! He and his wife moved to the Highlands many years ago because we have tall trees and no street lights, perfect for star gazing. He then proceeded to build a mini-observatory in his backyard. On Tuesday he will bring some telescopes from his observatory and show us the stars! If you love the beauty of the night sky and the amazing planets and stars we are surrounded by join us for this amazing experience! Twinflower Park 1560 Millstream Road Tuesday April 1st 7:30pm – 9:00pm
