Back by popular request we have the spring brassica greens which so many of you have writ- ten us about. Our Saanich Peninsula farmers have outdone themselves with these local treats. This week we are recommending braising them and topping with salmon or a poached egg then drizzling them hollandaise sauce. See our recipe below. Our local farmers are eager to assure me that we will see more local foods in the coming weeks including as- paragus, brocollini, greenhouse cukes and tomatoes. So stay tuned! Pricing out this month’s boxes are pricers are showing that our Organic box at $18 would cost closer to $26 at the grocery store prices – although you would need to travel to two stores & one peninsula farm to get that value.
